Allison’s path to becoming a sought-after wedding makeup artist was anything but ordinary. After earning a degree from Robert Morris University, she spent five years in finance. But long commutes and office life left her craving something more fulfilling. In 2018, she began doing makeup on the side and quickly realized how much joy it brought her. By 2021, she took a leap of faith and launched her business full time—booking 40 weddings in her first six months alone.
Today, Allison works with 60–70 brides each year, helping them feel radiant and confident on their wedding day. Beyond makeup, she’s a cheerleading coach, a spray tan specialist, a new homeowner, and most importantly, mom to her son, Grayson.

When it comes to her style, Allison describes her work as “full soft glam”—a look that can lean more natural or more elevated, depending on the bride. What never changes, however, is her approach: “It’s never cakey, never heavy, and never feels like a mask,” she explains. This distinction is crucial because, as Allison points out, wedding makeup is not the same as everyday makeup. “If you want to look exactly like you do every day, I’m probably not the artist for you,” she says honestly. Wedding day makeup needs to withstand hours of emotion, weather, and celebration. That’s why trials are so important—giving brides the chance to find the right balance between comfort and longevity.
For brides who don’t typically wear much makeup, Allison emphasizes skincare in the months leading up to the wedding. “The healthier the skin, the better the makeup feels,” she shares. Even with soft glam, there will be some level of product to help brides look their best on camera and in real life.
A Smooth Wedding Morning
Allison knows the energy of the morning sets the tone for the entire day. She arrives early, sets up her space, and keeps a steady rhythm so no one feels rushed.
Bridesmaids and moms typically take 45 minutes each, while the bride gets a full hour toward the end of the timeline to ensure her look is the freshest.
But brides don’t need to worry about being glued to the chair all morning. “I don’t believe in making brides sit in the chair for two hours+—it should feel enjoyable, not draining,” Allison says.
To keep her brides looking fresh throughout the day, she provides a custom touch-up kit, complete with powder, lipstick, gloss, a beauty blender, and disposables. In her experience, though, most brides only need a quick lip touch-up and a little powder to stay picture-perfect.

In 2024, Allison expanded her services to include custom spray tanning, an ideal option for brides who want that natural, sun-kissed glow on their wedding day. Timing is key, and Allison recommends scheduling the tan two days (full 48 hours prior) before the wedding so the color has time to fully develop without risk of bronzer transferring onto a dress.
“Prep is everything,” she notes. Brides should shower and exfoliate the day before, then arrive to their appointment free of lotions, deodorants, or perfume. From there, Allison mixes each spray tan formula to match the bride’s skin tone and desired depth. “No one is getting a one-size-fits-all tan from me—it’s completely customized.”

With years of experience and hundreds of brides behind her, Allison has learned what works—and what doesn’t—when it comes to wedding day beauty. Her biggest piece of advice? From a practical standpoint, Allison cautions against making big changes right before the big day. “Don’t introduce anything new within 30 days of your wedding—no new skincare, facials, Botox, or filler,” she advises. “Stick to what your skin already knows. If you want to try new treatments, start at least six months out.”
And as for the inevitable tears? She reminds brides that even the best makeup has limits. “If you’re rubbing tears away, makeup will move. But I give my brides the tools to touch up and the confidence to know they’ll still look beautiful all day.”
